Levelling Bucket and Extension for Telehandlers - More Volume with the Same Machine

In short: A levelling bucket is a wide, low bucket with a straight cutting edge, suited for loading bulk and light materials such as grain, sand or silage, and for levelling surfaces. An extension (an add-on fitted to the top of the bucket) increases volume when you need to move more at once, without having to buy a separate, larger bucket.

What is a levelling bucket good at?

A levelling bucket is built primarily for loading loose material and light levelling work, not heavy digging. Its wide, straight edge slides into the material easily and suits evening out and loading goods, aggregate or soil onto a truck or into a warehouse.

What's the extension for?

If you already have a levelling bucket but find the volume falls short when loading grain, feed material or lighter bulk, you can fit an extension to the bucket. This raises the bucket's edge, increasing its volume without having to replace the whole bucket.

• Cheaper solution: an extension is more affordable than buying a new, larger bucket.
• Easy to fit and remove: if you don't need the extra volume every day, the extension can also be taken off.
• Effect on weight and visibility: a higher edge partly blocks the operator's forward view and adds weight to the bucket, which slightly reduces the machine's lifting force and height.

What to pay attention to when choosing?

• Mount compatibility: the bucket and extension must fit the machine's quick coupler exactly, like any other telehandler attachment.
• Machine lifting capacity: greater volume means greater weight when full, which must stay within the machine's allowed limits, especially when lifting higher.
• Material type: for very heavy or sticky material, a large-volume bucket may become impractical, since the machine can't lift it high enough.
