Attachment Price Inquiry vs Immediate Purchase - Which Route to Choose?

Some attachments are in stock and available immediately, others need to be ordered. We explain when it's worth sending a price inquiry and when you can order the attachment right away.

Loader leveling bucket in stock

In short: If an attachment is in stock and matches the machine's mount directly, you can order it right away. If you need a custom size, a different mount, or an attachment with specific technical features, it's more sensible to start with a price inquiry to confirm the exact fit and delivery time.

When an immediate purchase is enough

Attachments in common sizes with a standard mount, for example standard digging buckets, loading buckets and forks, are generally in stock or have a short delivery time. For these, there's no reason to spend time on an inquiry if the mount and dimensions are already known.

  • The mount is known for certain: the machine's quick coupler has been measured or is known from documents.
  • The need is standard: for example a common bucket volume and width, not a custom order.
  • Fast delivery is needed: work starts soon and there's no time to wait for order confirmation.

When it's worth starting with a price inquiry

A price inquiry makes sense when the attachment's fit isn't entirely clear, or when the product is a custom order. It lets you confirm the mount type, dimensions and delivery time before ordering, without having to send goods back later.

  • The mount isn't certain: if the machine's make and model are known but the exact quick coupler isn't, an inquiry helps pin down the mount before ordering.
  • A custom order is needed: less common dimensions, special mounts or combined solutions (for example a combi mount) usually take longer.
  • Larger quantity: when ordering several attachments at once, it's worth asking for a combined quote, which may be more favorable.
  • Spare parts and special requests: if you want spare parts or special teeth along with the attachment, that's better handled through an inquiry.

What to mention in a price inquiry

The fastest response comes when the inquiry already includes the machine's make and model, the desired product type, the planned work and the desired delivery time. If you can add a photo of the machine's quick coupler, confirming the fit goes even faster.

In summary

An immediate purchase works when all the necessary information is already known and the product is standard. A price inquiry works when you want certainty before buying that the product fits your machine and your work exactly. Either way, the end result is the same - a suitable attachment at the right time.
